White Bay 4-4

Happy Easter. Its Easter Sunday, and after last nights fiasco at anchor, we are all ready to get a mooring ball so we can truly relax. It is still crowded in the bay, with very few boats leaving. While in the dinghy, I recognize a boat name (Astral Wind) from the Leopard Forum I have been reading. They appear to be getting ready to leave, so I head over to check it out. Turns out that his port engine is out (seems to be an epidemic) and he is waiting for a friend with a dinghy to help him off to a marina. While waiting, Katie and the kids swim in to shore.  When we see a dinghy heading over toward the other cat, we send Tim out in our dinghy to check things out and wait for them to leave. Its a good thing, as Astral Wind leaves there is a boat just moving in that would have gotten the ball if Tim was not there to pounce. Tracy drives the boat over, making her best attempt at running down Tim as he waits at the ball. Fortunately he senses danger and speeds away in the dinghy just in time. Securely tied up, with no morons around us, we can finally get busy relaxing and have a nice swim in to shore to meet up with the kids.

A couple of other balls open up, but are quickly grabbed up. Its still a holiday and very busy. As soon as we are settled, we head to shore to the Soggy Dollar for full relaxation. We have a late lunch of burgers, chicken, and flying fish (yes, real flying fish) sandwiches. After more swimming and relaxing, we head back to the boat for dinner. We contemplate going in to Ivan’s but no one is that ambitious.
